What This Page Covers
This Refund Policy describes the rules for requesting a refund, cancelling your subscription, and resolving billing issues related to Dzeny. It applies to all payment channels: Apple App Store, Google Play, and direct web purchases (processed via Stripe).
Refunds by Payment Channel
Apple App Store
If you purchased your Dzeny subscription through the Apple App Store, refunds are processed by Apple, not by Dzeny. We do not have access to Apple's billing system and cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases directly.
To request a refund from Apple:
- Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
- Sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase
- Select the Dzeny subscription charge
- Follow Apple's instructions to submit your refund request
Apple reviews each request individually. Dzeny cannot influence or override Apple's refund decisions.
Google Play
If you purchased your Dzeny subscription through Google Play, refunds follow Google's refund policies. For recent purchases (within 48 hours), Google may process refunds automatically.
To request a refund from Google:
- Open the Google Play app or visit play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
- Find the Dzeny subscription
- Tap "Cancel subscription" and follow the prompts for a refund request
- For older charges, contact Google Play support directly
Dzeny cannot process refunds for Google Play purchases. Google makes the final decision on all Play Store refund requests.
Website (Stripe)
If you purchased your subscription on dzeny.com (processed via Stripe), contact our support team at general@dzeny.com with the subject line "Refund request". We review web refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
If a refund is approved, it will be returned to your original payment method. The time it takes for the refund to appear depends on your bank or card issuer (typically 5–10 business days).
Cancellation vs. Refund
Cancelling your subscription and requesting a refund are two separate actions:
- Cancellation stops future billing. You keep access to Dzeny until the end of your current paid period. No automatic refund is issued when you cancel.
- Refund is a request to return money already charged. Refund eligibility depends on your payment channel and the circumstances of the charge.
Cancelling your subscription does not automatically entitle you to a refund for any period that has already been billed.
Free Trial and Renewals
Dzeny offers a 7-day free trial for new users. During the trial, you are not charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically renew and your payment method will be charged at the standard subscription rate.
To avoid being charged:
- Cancel the trial at least 24 hours before it expires
How to cancel by platform:
- iOS — Settings, then Apple ID, then Subscriptions, then Dzeny, then Cancel
- Android — Play Store, then Profile, then Payments, then Subscriptions, then Dzeny, then Cancel
- Web — Email general@dzeny.com with the subject "Cancel subscription"
After the trial, your subscription renews automatically at the start of each billing cycle. You can cancel at any time to stop future renewals, but the current period remains active and is not refunded.
Billing Issues and Exceptions
We understand that billing issues can happen. The following situations may be eligible for a direct review by our team:
- You were charged after cancelling your subscription (and can provide proof of cancellation)
- You were charged more than once for the same billing period (duplicate charge)
- A technical issue on our end prevented you from using Dzeny for a significant portion of your billing period
- You were charged for a renewal without prior notification (where notification is legally required)
- You believe the charge was unauthorized
Each case is reviewed individually. We may ask for supporting documentation such as receipts, screenshots, or a description of the issue. We aim to be fair and transparent in every review.
